Map For Us — refund policy
Effective date: 29 October 2026
Applies to: plans bought on the website, through the Map For Us web client at www.mapforus.com. Plans bought in the App Store or Google Play are covered at the end of this page.
1. The short version
Every charge on the website can be refunded in full within 14 days. Ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it. You do not need to give a reason, and there are no conditions.
Monthly and yearly family plans also start with a 7-day free trial, once per account. A payment method is taken in the payment service's checkout when you start it, but nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel from Plan on the website at any point during those 7 days and you pay nothing. Two- and three-year plans and Team have no trial and are charged in full at checkout.
2. Who you are buying from
Outside India, Paddle is the merchant of record: Paddle sells you the subscription, takes the payment and issues your invoice, and your purchase is a contract with Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms. In India, AEVORIS CLOUD LLP sells to you directly, Razorpay only processes the payment, and we issue a GST tax invoice for each payment, which you can download from Plan on the website. The terms of service (§7) say the same. The refund window is the same either way.
3. Delivery
Map For Us is a digital service with nothing to ship: there is no physical product, no courier and no delivery address. Access is provisioned electronically and immediately. The plan is on your account as soon as the payment service tells our server the payment went through. If a completed payment is not reflected on your account, treat that as a fault on our side rather than a delivery estimate. Plan on the website shows the state of your subscription; if it still looks wrong, tell us using the contact details below.
4. During the trial
Full access to the plan you chose from the moment the trial starts. Cancel from Plan on the website at any point before the trial ends and you are never charged. If you do not cancel, the payment method is charged automatically when the trial ends, for the plan and term you chose.
5. After a charge
Every completed charge on the website, whatever the plan (an upfront two- or three-year payment, the first payment after a trial, a later renewal, or a Team payment), can be refunded in full, including any tax, if you ask within 14 days of that charge. Each charge has its own 14 days, counted from the day it was taken. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel; a two- or three-year plan is a single payment that never renews. You can cancel a renewing subscription at any time from Plan on the website: you keep the plan through the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.
6. How to ask for a refund
From Plan on the website, choose Ask for a refund, then Message support. It opens a support conversation tied to your account, so you do not have to tell us who you are. You do not need to give a reason.
We hold no email address or name for your account, so we cannot find your account from one, and a message that arrives some other way cannot be matched to a payment. That is why the request is made from inside your account.
If you paid through Paddle (everywhere outside India), you can instead ask Paddle directly at paddle.net, using the email address on your Paddle receipt. Both routes work and the same 14 days apply.
We ask Razorpay (India) or Paddle (everywhere else) to return the money to the card or payment method you paid with. How soon it shows on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
A refund ends the plan it paid for. The subscription is cancelled and the plan ends, and the same thirty days that follow any lapse then apply: nothing changes for thirty days; after that the circle stops accepting new positions and the app shows the plan screen in place of the circle, from which everyone in it can still raise an SOS (see "If you pay us" in the privacy policy). Everything already on your phones stays on your phones.
7. If a payment fails
A failed renewal or trial-conversion payment does not end the plan at once. The plan stays on for a grace period of three days while the payment service tries again, and the plan screen shows that there is a payment problem. On Paddle you can update your payment method from Plan on the website; on Razorpay, which retries your card itself, cancel and choose the plan again if it keeps failing. If the payment is still not made, the plan lapses, and the thirty days that follow any lapse apply (§6). What a lapse does to the history the server keeps is set out under "If you pay us" in the privacy policy.
8. Your rights under the law
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you. Where Paddle is the merchant of record, our 14 days is in addition to those rights, not a replacement for them.
9. Purchases in the App Store or Google Play
A plan bought through the App Store or Google Play is charged, and refunded, by Apple or Google under their own refund rules, and we cannot refund it. Everything above is about plans bought on the website.
